The Management module provides cataloguing, authority file maintenance, general reports. Printing facilities of barcode, spine label and catalog cards. BookMagic makes cataloguing easy with simple screens and pop-up authority files that can be browsed and updated during accessioning.

Member Registration through FRS

Library Members tend to misplace or forget their library cards causing libraries to spend time and money replacing them. BookMagic is designed an easy-to-use solution based on Facial Biometrics that replaces cards with Face Authentication.

Book Cataloguing by using RFID

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems have been in use in libraries for book identification, self-checkout, anti-theft control, inventory control and sorting and conveying of library books. These applications can lead to significant savings in labor costs, enhance customer service and prevent book theft and provide a constant record update of media collections.

Use of RFID tags replaces the barcodes in Circulation process. Reading book’s access number from RFID to borrow and return the book. RFID tags have been specifically designed to be affixed into library media including books, CDs, DVDs and tapes. It is thin, flexible and thus can be laminated between paper and plastic. With special method to attach to books, patron is totally unaware that the tag is there.

The advantages of RFID tags over barcode / magnetic stripe:
